Coffee Makers Afre, S.A. was founded with the principal of direct commerce.  Founded by a native Guatemalan with strong family ties to the land and the cultivation of coffee, Coffee Makers Afre, S.A. was founded to help farmers that have been ignored by other Cooperatives. 

Many long standing Cooperatives have represented the same farmers and sold to the same buyers for many years.  Some have grown satisfied with their businesses and do not have the desire, time or resources to help other farmers develop new relationships with qualified buyers.
